about me

I am an artist, small business owner, part time gallery assistant, mother of two and wife to a farmer.  My life is a balance of creative expression and the practical demands of life, it is this balance that provides inspiration and informs my art.

As an abstract landscape artist, I am deeply captivated by the rugged beauty of Western Australia, with its vast rural expanses and dramatic coastlines.  The landscapes that surround me—both near my home in Perth and in the Mid West where I often spend time—serve as my primary source of

inspiration.  But rather than capturing these places in a traditional sense, I immerse myself in their

dynamic essence.  I approach each scene with a deep scrutiny.  I see the colours in nature intensely, often noticing unexpected hues and contrasts that speak to me in ways beyond the ordinary.

In my work, colour, texture, and movement are my language.  I love the interplay of vibrant and earthy tones, juxtaposing unexpected shades to see how they react and evolve on the canvas.

My work is grounded in an abstract expressionist style, where I seek to evoke not just the physical aspects of the landscape but the emotions and energy that emanate from it.  Whether it’s the play of sunlight on a dry field, the curve of a rocky ridge, or the vibrant colours of the coastline.

My work has evolved through ongoing colour experimentation and a deepening understanding of how light, form, and movement can be expressed through abstraction. I primarily work with

acrylics and oils on high-quality cotton canvas, each piece finished and ready to hang.  My hope is that, through my work, I can inspire a renewed appreciation for the incredible landscapes that are all around us, waiting to be noticed in all their vibrancy, texture, and life.
